Your vault. Your copy. Store it off-site.
Download a complete offline archive — inventory, photos, receipts, panoramas, floor plans, evacuation priority JSON, and forensic report copies. Free on every plan.
Why off-site backup matters
Total loss erases memory
After a fire or hurricane, stress and trauma make it hard to recall everything you owned. An off-site backup preserves what your policy cannot replace — proof.
The fire safe fallacy
A paper folder or home hard drive in a fire safe doesn't survive a Category 5 hurricane or a total loss fire. An encrypted cloud vault is the only record that survives when the physical house is gone.
Annual habit, storm-ready
Vault Health tracks your last backup. Download a fresh archive each year — complete evacuation prep on your property tab (document locations, portable items, PDF on Basic+), then store the ZIP off-site.

How it works
Step 1
Document your home — capture rooms, verify items, and attach receipts.
Step 2
Tag portable items and generate an evacuation prep PDF (Basic+) — or let your next vault backup embed a fresh copy automatically.
Step 3
Download a vault backup from Dashboard → Backup (one full backup per 24 hours).
Step 4
Store the ZIP off-site — cloud drive, external drive, or fire-rated safe.
Step 5
Set an annual reminder — Vault Health shows when your last backup was taken.
Storage tips
- Upload the ZIP to iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
- Copy to an external USB drive kept in a fire-rated safe.
- Email your latest forensic PDF to your insurance agent separately for quick access.
- Keep evacuation prep PDF on your phone or print a copy for go-bag planning.
- Verify the ZIP opens on another device after downloading.
Backup trust notes
No restore from this ZIP
The archive is for your records and off-site evidence — it is not re-importable into Cadastre Home.
What is excluded
Live share link tokens and billing identifiers are stripped. Forensic report copies and media you uploaded are included.
Store it somewhere else
Keep a copy on an off-site drive or personal cloud — not only on a computer that lives in the same house you are protecting.
