Cadastre Home, LLC ("Cadastre Home") is committed to ensuring that cadastrehome.com is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
1. Conformance status
We are working toward full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. The platform is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA — meaning some content does not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. Known limitations are listed in Section 4 below.
2. Measures taken to support accessibility
Cadastre Home takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of our platform:
- Include accessibility as a requirement in our design and development process.
- Use semantic HTML5 elements to support screen readers and assistive technologies.
- Provide sufficient color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Implement keyboard-navigable interactive components with visible focus indicators.
- Use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes where native HTML semantics are insufficient.
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content (images include descriptive alt text).
- Ensure form inputs are associated with labels and include descriptive error messages.
- Support reduced-motion preferences via the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. - Support dark mode preferences via the
prefers-color-schememedia query. - Conduct accessibility checks as part of our development review process.
3. Technologies relied upon
The accessibility of this website depends on the following technologies:
- HTML5
- CSS (including custom properties and Tailwind CSS)
- JavaScript (Astro, React components)
- WAI-ARIA (where applicable)
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some areas of the platform may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Known limitations include:
- 360° media viewer: Interactive 360° property tours may not be fully operable via keyboard or screen reader. We are working on an accessible fallback view for users who cannot use the interactive viewer.
- Third-party maps (Mapbox): The interactive map on the Service Areas page is provided by Mapbox. Its accessibility is subject to Mapbox's own conformance levels, which may vary.
- AI-generated content: AI-produced inventory descriptions and labels may not always be complete or fully descriptive for screen reader users. Users can edit all AI-generated text in their dashboard.
- PDF exports: Exported PDF files may have limited screen reader accessibility. We recommend requesting a structured data export (JSON or Excel) as an alternative.
5. Accessible alternatives
If you encounter any accessibility barrier, we are committed to providing an accessible alternative. Contact us at support@cadastrehome.com and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need in an accessible format within 5 business days.
6. Feedback and contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of cadastrehome.com. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, experience difficulty using any part of the website, or want to report a specific issue, please contact us:
- Email: support@cadastrehome.com (include "Accessibility" in the subject line)
- Contact form: cadastrehome.com/contact
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 3 business days and to resolve reported issues as quickly as possible.
7. Formal complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility concern, you may contact the relevant authority in your jurisdiction:
- United States: The U.S. Department of Justice (ADA) at ada.gov or the U.S. Access Board at access-board.gov.
- European Union / UK: Your local disability rights authority or Equality and Human Rights Commission (UK).
8. Assessment approach
Cadastre Home assesses accessibility through the following approaches:
- Self-evaluation using automated tools (Axe, Lighthouse) during development.
- Manual keyboard navigation and screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver).
- Color contrast validation using WCAG contrast ratio calculators.
- Ongoing review as new features are released.
We plan to commission a formal third-party accessibility audit and publish a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) as the platform matures.
This statement was last reviewed on June 2026 and will be updated as the platform evolves. We are committed to ongoing accessibility improvement.
